Anam cara means soul friends, which originates in Irish monasticism, known by John O'Donohue's bestseller book "Anam Cara: A Book of Celtic Wisdom". The Irish term anam cara is hand stamped one letter by one letter on the ring band, with soul friend stamped inside of the ring band. The ring band is aluminum, which is food safe, hypoallergenic and non-tarnish. The aluminum ring band is 1/4" (6mm) in width. Adjustable to any size but please let us know your ring size for best fit. The rings are made out of Pure 1100 Aluminum, which is food safe and does not tarnish. They contain no Zinc or Magnesium which are often found in common aluminum and can cause skin reactions. This also means it doesn't contain the properties of other metals that might tarnish and/or turn your skin green. Please note that due to the nature of hand stamping, every item varies slightly from the photo.
