Personalize your worship or contemplative space with this small floor altar. Table top is 20" by 11", and it sets 10" tall with a built-in shelf & drawer.....Small drawer is 8"×8" (1-1/2" deep)....removable, tray-style drawer for easy use and cleaning.. This altar is designed for use along with a kneeling stool or meditation pillow. The outstanding beauty of this piece of furniture is due to it's solid hardwood construction - absolutely no plywood is used. The Personal Altar that is featured in this listing is constructed out of solid Maple hardwood - harvested locally here in Northern Maine. The completed bench is finish-coated with environmentally-friendly, all natural beeswax finish. Handmade in the USA. Our small wood shop is located in the wonderful state of Maine. The material that we use to build these altars is a cut of Maple that is noted for it's rich variety of grain patterns. Typical blonde maple shades mix with variegated browns and tan colors. No two finished products with ever have the same exact look.....no two boards are ever the same. We obtain our furniture-grade stock from a local sawyer who prepares this lumber at his small home-based mill.
