Proov progesterone test strips test for a urine metabolite of progesterone called Pregnanediol Glucuronide (PdG), which has been shown to correlate to progesterone in the bloodstream. Without progesterone, conception is not possible, and low progesterone is the number one cause of infertility and preventable miscarriage.
