Shimmertails are made of high quality spandex and polyester so they will stretch to fit most body types. The size chart can be best seen at our website Shimmertail.com/size-chart. Measurements: 5/6 Small, Waist 20-24 inches, length 28 in. 7/8 Medium, Waist is 20-24.5 inches, length 30 inches. 9/10 Large Waist 21-25 in. length 32 in. 11/12 Tween Waist 28-32 in length 36in. Shimmertails are tested to hold up in chlorine and salt water however when these fabrics are rubbed, snagged or scratched on the rough surface of a pool/hot tub or rocks, this will damage the fibers and will cause pilling, slight fading, and/or small holes. You may purchase a fabric replacement for $24.99 by visiting Shimmertail.com. REMOVE the fin for walking, but slide it on for fantastic swimming! Put it on right next to the pool to avoid scratching the costume on the hard ground. Warning: To reduce the risk of death by drowning, Shimmertail swimwear must be worn with a life jacket at all times. Always use with adult supervision. Handling care: Remove fin by folding and pulling out. Machine was cold, inside out. Hang dry. Do not use fabric softeners, bleach or iron. **IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION: - Use ONLY with adult supervision. - To ensure your safety, the Shimmertail Mermaid Swimwear must be worn with a life jacket at ALL times. - To reduce the risk of falling, put the Shimmertali Mermaid Swimwear on at the edge of the pool by sliding feet into the foot straps, then pull up the tail. - Do NOT use in water that is too deep for your swimming abilities. All items may be returned within 30 days of purchase for a refund (minus shipping costs and a 15% restocking fee for returns 10% restocking fee for exchanges). Technical Details
- Shimmertails are swimmable mermaid costumes with a flexible swim fin INCLUDED! The fin includes soft elastic foot straps, for swimming.
- Our new Shimmertail design has an opening at the bottom of the fin for walking and an elastic waist band for a snug fit around the waist in the water. We also doubled the thickness on the fin to give your swimmer more resistance and power when swimming. Matching swimsuits will be available in the Fall!
