Nothing conducts heat more efficiently or quickly than diamonds, when combined with the thick 8-mm base, making the pans perfect for browning and deglazing on all cooktops. Woll pans can withstand thermal "shock" (from hot to cold) without the pan warping, unlike pans made with the pressure/vacuum cast system. The Diamond Plus Induction collection is made with a modern coating process. The patent pending diamond reinforced non-stick surface is made of carbon nano tubes and larger diamonds for improved thermal charactaristics, coating durability and non-stick performance. Computer control eliminates over or under spraying which can cause peeling and or cracking of the pan's surface during use. The coating facility has longer drying ovens (over 7 football fields in length!) which stabilize the curing process when applying the diamond reinforced coatings. This creates an extremely durable coating and prevents peeling or chipping. The patent pending diamond reinforced non-stick features an anti-corrosive extra base sealant coating, which is unique to Woll. The entire facility exceeds all environmental standards and is approved by local and state governmental standards (extremely strict and difficult in Germany). The Diamond Plus Induction series is the only diamond non-stick cast aluminum body line that can be used on induction as well as gas, electric, ceramic, halogen, radiant and glass stove tops. The thick 8 mm induction magnetic stainless steel disc (using patent pending technology) is guaranteed not to warp or separate plus is easy to clean and will not stain. The combination of the thick aluminum bodies and diamond reinforced non-stick allows for perfect browning, braising, frying, sautéing and searing of foods. Diamond Plus Induction diamond reinforced non-stick surfaces are PFOA (perfluorooctanoic acid) free, dishwasher, metal utensil and oven safe to 500 degrees Fahrenheit, with a limited lifetime warranty.
