The SmartGuard Elite was released in January of 2012 as an enhanced version of the current SmartGuard. The best OTC night guard for symptoms of clenching and grinding which may include jaw pain and sensitive teeth just got better. It has been enhanced to prevent from falling out during the night. The SmartGuard Elite is a better fit for the medium sized mouths up to the largest mouth. It was also designed to work better for symptoms of clenching and grinding better compared to the current SmartGuard Original mouth guard. Gagging is non-existant, due to our patented "Gag Free" design. It stays in place nicely. A more important feature to recognize is that it doesn't cause many problems and symptoms that other guards can cause. The SmartGuard Night Guard is an excellent replacement for custom TMJ night guards made at the dental office. It doesn't allow your back teeth to touch, so it also protects your teeth from the affects grinding teeth and clenching. So, if you have sensitive teeth, and if you're a teeth grinder, a TMJ headache sufferer, Ringing in the ears, or a TMJ sufferer, the SmartGuard Elite can reduce any of those symptoms.
